These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of chinatravelatlas.com and the travel services provided by China Travel Atlas, operated by Shenzhen Huyi International Travel Agency Co., Ltd. (License No. L-GD-103241). By accessing our website or booking a tour, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Definitions

• “Company,” “we,” “us” refers to Shenzhen Huyi International Travel Agency Co., Ltd., operating as China Travel Atlas.
• “Traveler,” “you” refers to any person who visits our website or books a tour.
• “Services” refers to travel planning, itinerary design, tour arrangements, and related travel services.
• “Tour” refers to any itinerary, package, or custom travel arrangement booked through us.
• “Third-party providers” refers to hotels, airlines, transport companies, guides, restaurants, and other suppliers we engage to deliver your tour.

2. Services Description

China Travel Atlas provides travel planning and tour arrangement services for international travelers visiting China. Our services include:

• Custom itinerary design and consultation
• Private tour arrangements with English-speaking guides and drivers
• Hotel, transportation, and attraction ticket bookings
• Tibet Travel Permit processing
• Visa support documentation (invitation letters where applicable)
• Travel information and advisory services through our website

We act as an intermediary between you and third-party providers. While we carefully select our suppliers, we do not own or operate hotels, airlines, trains, or other third-party services.

3. Bookings and Payments

3.1 Booking Process

Bookings are initiated through our website contact form, email, or trip planner. A booking is confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation email from us and have paid the required deposit. Until confirmation, availability cannot be guaranteed.

3.2 Pricing

• All prices are quoted in USD (US Dollars) unless otherwise stated.
• Prices are per person, based on double occupancy unless specified.
• Single supplements apply for solo travelers.
• Prices may change due to currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, or supplier price changes. Confirmed bookings are price-guaranteed.
• Prices do not include international airfare to/from China, visa fees, travel insurance, personal expenses, or gratuities unless explicitly stated.

3.3 Payment Schedule

• Deposit: 30% of the total tour price is due within 7 days of booking confirmation to secure your reservation.
• Final payment: The remaining 70% is due 30 days before the tour start date.
• Bookings within 30 days: Full payment is required at the time of confirmation.
• Payment methods: Bank wire transfer, PayPal, or credit card (Visa/Mastercard). A 3% processing fee applies to credit card payments.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 Cancellation by Traveler

Cancellations must be submitted in writing (email). Refunds are calculated based on the date we receive your cancellation notice:

Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method. Bank transfer fees and currency conversion losses are deducted from the refund amount.

4.3 Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel a tour if minimum participant requirements are not met (applies to group tours only; private tours are not subject to minimums), or due to circumstances beyond our control (see Force Majeure, Section 9). In such cases, you will receive a full refund or an alternative itinerary of equal value.

5. Travel Requirements

• Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned departure date from China, with at least two blank visa pages.
• Visa: You are responsible for obtaining the correct visa for China. We provide support documentation (hotel confirmations, flight itineraries) but do not guarantee visa approval.
• Tibet Travel Permit: Required for all foreign travelers to Tibet. We arrange this as part of our Tibet tours. Processing takes 15–20 days.
• Travel insurance: Mandatory for all tours. Must cover medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and trip cancellation. For Tibet tours, insurance must cover high-altitude travel.
• Health: Consult your doctor regarding vaccinations and medications. Inform us of any medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or mobility issues that may affect your tour.

6. Traveler Responsibilities

• Comply with all Chinese laws, customs regulations, and local regulations.
• Respect local culture, religious sites, and customs. Dress modestly at temples and monasteries.
• Follow the instructions of guides and drivers for safety and logistics.
• Arrive at designated meeting points on time. We are not responsible for missed services due to late arrival.
• Do not engage in activities prohibited by Chinese law, including but not limited to drug use, unauthorized political activities, or photographing restricted areas.
• Inform us immediately of any changes to your travel plans, health status, or contact information.

7. Itinerary Changes

We strive to deliver itineraries as described, but reserve the right to make modifications due to weather, traffic, attraction closures, safety concerns, or other operational reasons. If a listed attraction is unavailable, we will substitute a comparable alternative. Significant changes will be communicated to you as soon as possible.

You may request itinerary modifications before final payment. Changes after final payment may incur additional fees from suppliers.

8. Limitation of Liability

China Travel Atlas acts as an agent for third-party providers. We are not liable for:

• Injuries, damages, or losses caused by third-party providers (hotels, airlines, transport companies).
• Delays, cancellations, or schedule changes by airlines, railways, or other transport operators.
• Attraction closures, natural disasters, or events beyond our control.
• Theft, loss, or damage to personal property during the tour.
• Medical issues or injuries during travel, including altitude sickness.
• Visa denial or entry refusal by Chinese immigration authorities.

Our maximum liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected tour. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen events.

9. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, epidemics or pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, border closures, transportation strikes, or severe weather events. In such circumstances, we will work with you to reschedule your tour or provide a refund less unrecoverable costs already paid to third-party providers.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on chinatravelatlas.com — including text, photographs, illustrations, itineraries, guides, logos, and design — is the property of China Travel Atlas and protected by international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or publish our content without written permission. Personal itinerary proposals are for your use only and may not be shared with third-party travel agencies for booking purposes.

11. Website Use

• You agree to use our website lawfully and not to disrupt its operation.
• You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data.
• Content on our website is for informational purposes and does not constitute professional travel advice. While we strive for accuracy, information may become outdated.
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue website features at any time without notice.

12. Reviews and Testimonials

If you submit a review or testimonial, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and publish that content for marketing purposes. You confirm that your review is accurate and based on your genuine experience.

13. Dispute Resolution

We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and efficiently:

• Direct communication: Contact us first at info@chinatravelatlas.com. We will respond within 48 hours and seek an amicable resolution.
• Mediation: If direct communication does not resolve the issue, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.
• Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any legal proceedings shall be brought in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China.

14. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes are effective when posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. For confirmed bookings, the Terms in effect at the time of booking apply to that booking.
